15 May Events not to be missed in the Scottish Highlands this Summer
What makes the Scottish Highlands a great destination for touring and visiting during the summer break can’t be summarised in one sentence. For starters, what makes our region so much fun to visit is the variety of music festivals, shows, and local attractions ready to enjoy all combined with the unmistakable Scottish friendly welcome you’ll receive.
The Ord Arms Hotel is an affordable tourist class hotel located on the Great North Road, Muir of Ord and is welcoming of guests from all over the world and of course Scottish Visitors who want to explore our own spectacular region. Woodzstock – Festival in the Forest, 17th June 2023
Located just 7 miles from our hotel, The woodside of Drumnamerg plays host what’s set to me a superb day out, all happening in one location and for one day only, June 17th, 2023. The line up includes Utah Saints, McFleetwood and Sarah Gallagher and Wee James to name but a few. Not only is there great music to enjoy, but local providers will also have great food and drink offerings on standby. Tickets are £45, and that includes additional entertainment and activities. Make it a weekend and come and enjoy the atmosphere. Last rooms available for dates around this weekend from only £70 pp for a 2-night stay.
Black Isle Show, 2-3 August 2023
Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of this year’s summer event calendar, the Black Isle show draws crowds from far and wide to Muir of Ord to attend the largest agricultural show in the north of Scotland. A family friendly event, it has all the ingredients of a great day out. Although we are almost fully booked over these dates, do give us a call to register for details for our waitlist. The show will take place only minutes away from our hotel.
We’ve highlighted two of the most popular events here, but of course there are any number of concerts, gigs, and events going on around this this summer.
